14249201 - This is a framing of the vast Gum Nebula in the southern Milky Way, that sprawls over the constellations of Vela and Puppis. It is listed as object #12 in the catalog of southern nebulas compiled in the 1950s by Australian astronomer Colin Gum. It is perhaps a supernova remnant (not to be confused with the smaller Vela Supernova Remnant that is within the Gum Nebula) or is a large and old H-Alpha star-forming region.
