The photo was taken on the occasion of the second return of Comet Petriew 185/P since its discovery 11 years earlier in 2001 at this very same location.

Taken with the Canon 5D MkII and 16-35mm lens at f/2.8 and ISO 1600 to keep exposures short to minimize blurring of the windmill blades (to no avail), despite the bright moonlight from a Full Moon.
